The tantalizing uncertainty of the journey. The intriguing possibilities that each moment can offer.  A sudden surprise in an unexpected place. All are the delicious offerings of the present. A gift to be unwrapped and experienced daily.

It can be as dramatic as a hot air balloon or as calming as a scenic trail populated by nature’s most alluring inhabitants. The next stranger may become a friend or a challenge to strengthen and purify. All are scattered throughout our incredible journey.

Each offers the potential to enrich our lives and magnify our voyage.  Exciting memories to be called forth with pleasure and excitement at a moment’s notice.

The mundane suddenly offers stimulating possibilities.

Your world is limited only by the boundaries of your mind. The capacity to be whoever or whatever you choose is a part of free will; a delicious exercise that resets your perspective and expectations.

The universe stands ready to support your transformation; running with the wind like Man of War, giving grand oratories like Abraham Lincoln or choosing the perfect hat like Audrey Hepburn. No rules, evaluations or protocols set the standard.

Simply wonder “who will I be and where shall I be.”  The magic of the universe is yours to command without restriction.

Intrigue

To be fascinated by the simplest of structures; a delicious emotion that brings mystery into our journey. Moments that cause us to think “I wonder…”; to be excited and pensive about what lies ahead.

Look at the world with eyes that seek to be delighted with its beauty and surprised by its diversity. Such an outlook invites pleasure. From this perspective, nothing is mundane or common place. Every day experiences become thrilling and offer expectations of “what next?”~ A journey with the capacity to delight and mystify.

Just for today – be intrigued by your moment in time.

Solitude

The capacity to find peace within oneself, a gentle calm that offers the assurance: “all is well.”   It provides the opportunity to reflect on past experiences and dreams.

Such moments allow us to feel gratitude for the journey and excitement for the boundless possibilities of the future. A gentle reminder that in this moment all needs are met. No distractions or demands; just a simple path forward. A present to be appreciated and enjoyed. Time to heal, assess, anticipate and offer gratitude.

Just for today – seek solitude.

Amazement

The world provides a multitude of opportunities for us to exclaim, “WOW!” Such experiences bring with them a delicious sensation of warmth and tingling that reaches to our very toes. The universe reaches out to you and says, “Surprise!”

To truly appreciate this skill it is helpful to adopt the perspective of a child. View the world without preconceived expectations or judgments. Such an attitude can provide the opportunity for amazement to be discovered at the beach, during a rainfall, in the forest or your own back yard.

Amazement is a skill freely offered to all but undeveloped in most. Seek to find admiration and surprise in the corner of the world that will become your today.

Tranquility

We all seek an attitude of calmness; being a part of the energy without being consumed by the energy. Such an attitude provides us the opportunity to heal when needed and offer a unique perspective when requested.  Tranquility allows a respite from the chaos that often defines our situation.

Once again, it is our animal friends and the world around us that provides the lesson of life. This duck has found calmness in his every day environment. By directing our attention inward, we too, will find the peace, harmony, calmness and tranquility with which to paint our day.

Just for today – seek tranquility.

Change

Cute, isn’t he? I have always carried deep within me a fear of snakes. I shied away from the snake house at the zoo and watch anxiously while caring for my garden. Their presence was uninvited and unwanted. Yet, the Incas used them as a symbol of wisdom and in spiritual realms they are reported to herald change.

This little guy served as a change agent for me. In my viewpoint, he is actually attractive and quite possibly smiling; definitely a new view for me.

The universe will offer a plethora of opportunities for change and enrichment by the experiences presented. There is no fee involved or preparation. Just be open to the situations on hand. I was amazed to say to Dottie, “He is really a cute little dude.”

Healing

Simple hands – gentle, delicate, hesitant, young, flawed. Even still, the energy of the universe grants them the capacity to heal. This modality has been given to all. Healing is an equal opportunity provider. It does not respect age, education or monetary value. We are all energy, as is the universe around us.

The foundation for hands that heal is love; the greatest force in the universe. A simple gift, extended to all, capable of breaking through barriers erected by cultures, fear, misunderstanding and transient circumstances. It presents in both positive and negative forms. The choice is made in each set of hands.

It’s a choice.

A perfect moment in time, a stillness.

Such moments do not occur in crowded arenas or in the midst of chaos. They occur in between breaths when, in quiet, the universe can whisper “All is well. Nothing is needed.”

They are to be cherished and brought forward to refresh the soul.

Peace is elusive. Yet, the gentle butterfly shows us how easy it can be.  She sits calmly, bathed in peace. There is much to be learned from our animal companions.
